Movie Night - Tuesday 11th March 2014

posted Mar 5, 2014, 1:18 AM by Margaret Braun

Dear Movie Friends

I hope everyone is well and has enjoyed a bit of Oscars fever this week!

Last month we saw "12 years a slave" which won best picture, best supporting actress and others. It was a harrowing story and the brutality and torture was difficult to watch at times.

This month's movie, "The Grand Budapest Hotel" will be much lighter and I hope a lot of fun. It is a Wes Anderson film which are often quirky. Starring: Ralph Fiennes, Bill Murray, Tilda Swinton and Ed Norton to name a few.

Other Wes Anderson films include but not limited to are: "Moonrise Kingdom", "The Royal Tenenbaums" and "The Darjeeling Limited".

As the movie is at Cap'Cine I thought we could have a change of restaurant and go to Bekaa House for some tasty lebanese food. It is close to the cinema. To ensure we have time to be served and enjoy our meal I propose we meet a bit earlier at 18:30.

Storyline:

THE GRAND BUDAPEST HOTEL recounts the adventures of Gustave H., a legendary concierge at a famous European hotel between the wars, and Zero Moustafa, the lobby boy who becomes his most trusted friend. The story involves the theft and recovery of a priceless Renaissance painting and the battle for anMore enormous family fortune -- all against the back-drop of a suddenly and dramatically changing Continent.

Date/Time:    Tuesday, 11th of March, 20:25
Cinema:         Cap'Cine (under the Fribourg Centre next to Manor)
Restaurant:     Bekka House, 18:30, Rue de l'Abbé-Bovet, Fribourg
(narrow street behind Manor and UBS building)

Please let me know by next Monday 10th March, if you are able to join me for a) movie and restaurant and b) just the movie.

Looking forward to the evening.

Kind regards

Margaret
