Movie Night - Tuesday 13th March, 2012

Dear all

Last month's movie, "The Iron Lady", was excellent.  Obviously the amazing Meryl Streep really made the movie with her incredible performance.  Old Maggie was no doubt formidable but it was also a touching story about an old woman reflecting on her life and I did wonder if with some regret, particularly in relation to her family, devoted husband and children.

This month we are off to the REX.  There are a few movies we could see.  I have already seen "Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close".  I read the book which I really enjoyed and possibly it spoiled the movie for me. It was touching but I think a big ask for a small boy to carry the whole movie.  He really is the central character.  But will not say more as you might enjoy it.

So we have the following 3 to choose from.  I will most likely see 1 but could be convinced to see 3.  The Artist is mostly silent and I think only has french or german subtitles (I think no english) but I presume still very enjoyable.

1. Albert Nobbs with Glenn Close at 8:30 pm

2. Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close - 8:40 pm

3. The Artist - 8:50 pm

Cinema:          REX, Bld De Perolles

Restaurant:   Saigon, Bld de Perolles 4,  6:30 onwards

Please let me know if you are attending a) restaurant and movie or b) movie only.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Cheers
